How Siam Spa Directory finds and ranks shops
We index massage and wellness venues from public sources, apply a bilingual filter to drop unrelated places, and rank what remains by a transparent score. This page documents every step so you can judge the data for yourself.

1. How we find shops
We sweep Google Maps neighbourhood by neighbourhood across every city we cover, in both English and Thai, so small shops on side streets show up alongside the big spas on the main roads.
2. What makes the cut
Two simple checks before a place is listed:
- It has to be in Thailand. Cross-border results from Malaysia, Laos, or Cambodia get dropped.
- It has to actually be a massage shop or spa — based on the Google category or the shop's own name in English or Thai. If something off-topic slips in, we clean it out.
3. The details we add
For each shop we pull together hours, photos, price range, contact info, and the Google Maps link. If Google has no photos but the shop has its own website, we check there for pictures and the menu.
4. How shops are ranked
Default order is based on how easy a shop is to actually visit and trust:
- Can you call them? (phone listed)
- Do they have a website?
- How many reviews have real customers left?
- What's the average rating?
- Is it a recent find worth a look?
Paid placements never bump a shop up the list. Sponsored spots sit in their own slots and are clearly labelled.
5. How often it's updated
The whole list is refreshed every week. New shops show up after we've filled in their details.
6. When a shop is removed
- Google marks it permanently closed.
- It no longer fits as a massage shop or spa.
- The owner emails us asking to be removed (see our editorial policy).
A note before you go
Hours and prices change without warning, and we can't catch every update right away. Always double-check hours and prices with the shop before you head over. See something wrong? Email contact@example.com.
